Our Story

We build tools that make life with Type 1 Diabetes a little easier — and a lot more empowering.

At Blue Bison Builds, we design functional, thoughtful, and family-tested products for people living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Our mission is simple: reduce daily friction, increase freedom, and help people with T1D — especially kids and parents — feel more confident and in control of their care.

This isn’t just a business. It’s personal.

My wife and one of our sons live with Type 1 Diabetes. Every day, we navigate the routines, worries, and unexpected challenges that come with managing this condition — at home, at school, on hikes, at bedtime, and everywhere in between. We’ve lost sensors to playground scuffs, scrambled for supplies on road trips, and rigged DIY solutions to hold pumps, vials, and glucose tablets.

Eventually, I realized: there has to be a better way.
And if it didn’t exist yet — I’d build it.

I started Blue Bison Builds to create physical products that solve the real, everyday problems people with T1D face. Using tools like 3D printing, user feedback, and rapid prototyping, we’re developing items that are compact, durable, kid-friendly, and parent-approved. Our goal is to help people spend less time managing diabetes — and more time living life.

Whether it's a school-day supply kit that actually fits a child's routine, a compact organizer that doesn’t scream “medical gear,” or a smarter way to carry glucose while camping or coaching soccer — we’re designing solutions for the life you live.
